A first this year - visit King Harold Day by boat
Lee Valley Boat Centre Ltd will be running a special boat trip this year, which will include King Harold Day.
The Boat Centre, which operates the "Lady of Lee Valley" and the "Pride of the Lee", approached the King Harold Day organizers to ask if there could be a special package including the boat trip from Broxbourne and entry to King Harold Day.
So, on Saturday 13th October, the boat will leave Broxbourne promptly at 11.30 am, and take her passengers to Waltham Abbey. The ticket price will include the boat journey, a Ploughman's Lunch on the way, entry to King Harold Day, Tea and Biscuits on the boat on the way back, and some special souvenirs. The whole return trip will take 5½ hours.
